Trust is the product
Independence & Funding
A rating is only worth something if it cannot be bought. RWTS scores tokenized real-world assets on a published methodology, and nothing about how we are funded is allowed to move a score. Here is exactly how that works, in plain terms.
Independent
Not owned by, and not directed by, any issuer, protocol, or exchange we rate. The score comes from the methodology, full stop.
No paid placement
There is no way to buy a higher Trust Score, a ranking, or coverage. If it could be bought, it would not be a rating.
Funding, disclosed
We earn from readership, the newsletter, and clearly-marked affiliate links and sponsorships. None of it touches the ratings.
The rating and the revenue are separate
We rate first. Only then, for assets and venues that already earn their score on the merits, do we add a disclosed affiliate link so readers can act on what they have read. Every affiliate link is visibly marked, earns a commission at no cost to you, and uses rel=sponsored. The payout has no bearing on the score, and the score is computed before any commercial question is asked. We will add sponsorships and advertising over time; the same rule will hold, disclosed, and never on the ratings.
Methodology changelog
Every change to how we score, dated. The current rubric lives on the methodology page.
Conditional Track Record restoration: an asset that suffers an incident and then demonstrably recovers can regain Track Record points over time, rather than being permanently capped.
Initial public methodology: six weighted dimensions (backing, verification, redeemability, audit, regulatory, track record) summing to 100, mapped to four tiers (T1 to T4).
FAQ
Is RealWorldTokenSpace independent?+
Yes. RWTS is an independent rating service for tokenized real-world assets. We are not owned by, and do not take direction from, any issuer, protocol, or exchange we rate. The Trust Score is produced solely from our published methodology.
Does RWTS take payment to change or boost a Trust Score?+
No. Trust Scores are never influenced by any commercial relationship. There is no paid placement and no way to buy a higher score. If that ever changed, it would stop being a rating.
How does RWTS make money?+
Audience-first: organic readership, the weekly newsletter, and disclosed affiliate links and sponsorships on the content side. Affiliate links earn a commission at no cost to you, are clearly marked, and use rel=sponsored. They never touch the ratings.
Are the affiliate links a conflict of interest?+
We rate first and disclose always. We only join affiliate programs for assets and venues that already earn their score on the merits, the payout cannot move a Trust Score, and every link carries a visible disclosure. The rating and the revenue are kept strictly separate.
Can I see how the score is calculated?+
Yes. The full six-dimension methodology and its version history are public. Read the methodology, and the changelog below shows every change to how we score.
